People wanted their entire body to look magical so they sprayed it liberally and all over. As if that was not bad enough they then sat on, rolled on and leaned against everything within reach and much that was not. Glitter, a very difficult thing to clean originally, now covered in adhesive and sprayed with reckless abandon quickly became a mortal enemy. So tiny, so glittery, so impossible to remove completely.
